Bolivia in frame
the unique beauty of high-altitude living
A journey through Bolivia’s breathtaking Altiplano - where dramatic landscape meets vibrant cultures
When a friend ask you to join for a Bolivia backpacking trip, you say yes. So after acquiring important vaccinations, sorting logistics, and getting tons of protein bars, the journey began in La Paz, a city at 3500m that literally takes your breath away. The altitude challenge intensified as we moved to Isla del Sol at over 4000m. But despite the physical strain, there was an indescribable magic in sharing the sunrise views over Lake Titicaca with an old friend. And so the discomfort quickly fades away and gets replaced by the thrill of pushing past your routine bubble.
A country of contrast
In bustling cities like La Paz, the streets are alive with energy, vibrant markets, and a cacophony of sounds that saturate the senses.
Yet, just a few hours away, the scene shifts dramatically. Traveling with a guide on undefined 'roads,' you find yourself enveloped by the vastness of the Altiplano, where the only company is the towering mountains and the endless sky.
